How to Select the Correct Vinyl Sleeve Size

  • Dimensions

    Please note that our product dimensions refer to the EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS of the item.

    This means if you have an insert that measures 8.5” x 11”, you’ll need to choose a sleeve that’s slightly larger to accommodate it. A good rule of thumb is to select a sleeve that is approximately .25" to 0.5” larger in both width and height than your insert.

    For example, for an 8.5” x 11” paper or other thin insert, we recommend a 9” x 11.5” sleeve.

  • Variances

    Due to the preceeding dynamic and the nature of the material the actual dimensions of a sleeve may be up to 3/8” to 1/2” larger than the published size. For example, a sleeve listed as 6” x 9” may measure slightly more on either dimension.
